The paper Energy Policy
and U.S. Industry Competitiveness, written by Energy Team
staff members, was presented at the July 2007 Summer Study
on Industrial Energy Efficiency, held by the American Council
for an Energy-Efficient Economy. This paper provides an overview
of energy use by U.S. manufacturers and the impact of rising
energy prices on U.S. manufacturing competitiveness, and discusses
policies that could help U.S. manufacturers remain competitive
in the current energy price environment.
