Sport fishing is big business in Texas, with more than 2.4 million anglers spending $2 billion annually on fishing-related activities. Funding from the Sport Fish Restoration Program enables the state to stock 300 million fish each year and to better manage its streams, reservoirs and coastal waters. Click on "Highlights" to learn more about activities funded by the program.

The success of Texas' fisheries is credited to strong management programs, research, habitat restoration, educational outreach and angler surveys.
