Phase Highlights - What's involved
In Phase 2, the IAWG and system owners do a detailed check of the information in DEAR, and map to the SRM and TRM. Phase 2 takes 30-60 minutes per system; less for legacy systems, more for tiered systems. Go through the following six steps (#6 is optional) for any systems that are NOT currently marked as remove, and are NOT part of the law, fire, recreation, financial, or trust lines of business.
Phase 2
- Step A - Validate Phase I data load
- Step B - Create SRM relationships
- Step C - Create TRM relationships
- Step D - Load and Link System Deployment Information
- Step E - Relate member systems to their parent enclave
- Step F - Create/Maintain System Interface Diagrams and Attributes
- Optional - Optional: Collect data on bureau systems.

Steps
Check that your BEAR was updated as expected, and model non-legacy systems down through the subsystem and system component level.
Make mappings between your system and the SRM services used in your system. Use the system wizard (see tutorial on the SRM . See the SRM report
Make mappings between your system and the TRM Service Specifications used in your system. Use the system wizard (see tutorial on the TRM) to make the mappings. TRM report .
Describe the system hardware by entering information about processing nodes (what kind of server) and location nodes (where is it). See the tutorial . Remember that other bureaus won't be able to see this information.
Describe the enclaves the system is a member of. (See tutorial on enclaves .)
Describe the system interfaces (what it pushes, pulls, feeds, etc; its source and target, and whether it goes from target to source, source to target, or both ways); As well, capture security status of interface.
