The International Water Association (IWA) and the International Association of Water Supply Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area (IAWD) are organizing the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2008 in Vienna, Austria.

IWA is expecting 3,000 delegates to attend the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition in Vienna from 7–12 September 2008. Many will be drawn from the IWA membership comprising 10,000 individual and over 400 corporate water professionals from 130 different countries.

Association members span the continuum between research and practice and cover all facets of the water cycle, from the science and management of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater to the conservation of water resources throughout the world.

Given Vienna’s central position in the region, the Association expects a large contingent of water professionals from the Central and Eastern European Regions to attend.
