The 10 regional offices of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) work to carry out the agency's mission to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce traffic related healthcare and other economic costs. Each regional office provides numerous services to the states in its region, as well as to other public and private sector customers. These services include older driver programs, technical assistance, promoting legislation, administering the agency's grant fund programs, assisting in coalition building, and delivering training.
