ARIZONA

The Arizona Department of Public Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration entered into a one-year cooperative agreement in 2002 to conduct research on older driver programs in law enforcement. The project was titled, "Data Collection on Law Enforcement's Older Driver Programs." During this research, programs were identified and documented, and materials were prepared for dissemination to other law enforcement agencies as a resource guide for older driver programs. Programs identified consisted of enforcement, education, engineering, emergency service, networks, and referral systems. State, county, and local agencies of all sizes were identified from all regions of the United States. The resource guide described specific programs and allocations. The publication lists each agency contact for referencing.
