Slovenian legislation went trough major changes of corporate and financial legislation in last year and half. Among others, the new Companies Act, new Banking Act, new Market and Financial Instrument Act, new Investments Trusts and Management Companies Act, and the whole new package of tax legislation was adopted in this period. Other important changes of relevant legislation in that time include newly adopted or substantially changed legislation regulating import procedures, mergers and acquisitions, public procurements and public-private partnership (PPP), employment of foreigners and other.

To provide foreign trade partners and investors with information required for doing business in Slovenia, the Center for International Cooperation and Development (CMSR) prepared a comprehensive legal guide, which is regularly updated with all the changes of the relevant legislation and published in the form of an e-book »Doing Business in Slovenia« on Slovenian Business Portal.
