Announcements:
The NJ Commission on National and Community Service announce a new AmeriCorps Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).
AmeriCorps is a national service network that provides full and part-time opportunities for participants to serve in their communities and build the capacity of organizations to meet local needs. This RFP will fund local initiatives that meet community needs in the issue areas of Community and Economic Development, Disaster Recovery/Relief, Education, the Environment, Health/Nutrition, Homeland Security, Human Needs, Housing, and Public Safety. In return for their service, AmeriCorps members benefit from a living allowance of $11,400 (F/T) and an educational award of $4,725 held in trust for tuition or to pay back existing education loans.
