HOUSING INFORMATION
Members without Dependents:
Members can live on board the ship or in Unaccompanied Personnel Housing
(UPH). No barracks are available. All members are eligible!
We are currently using 2 BR/2 BA furnished townhouses with garage located less
than 5 miles from the ship. You will have a roommate usually from the
ship.
Members with Dependents:
The average cost to rent a two bedroom and two bath apartment without utilities
ranges between $1500-$2000. Although the bay area is considered a high
cost area you can afford to live here. There are several locations to
choose from that will not only meet you housing needs but will also meet the
needs of your family. We receive a Cost of Living Allowance along with
Basic Allowance for Housing which will cover a large portion of your out of
pocket expenses if you decide to rent or buy. Information concerning

GOVERNMENT LEASED HOUSING

GOVERNMENT OWNED HOUSING
There is Government Owned located in Alameda , Novato and Concord .
You must have an automobile to live in this housing. The average wait for
government owned housing is 1-2 months. This housing is the most economical
housing since basic utilities are included. Questions concerning housing
