TBABS: Providing Services to Visually Impaired and Print Disabled Oregonians
Talking Books Stacks and Machine Room
Talking Book and Braille Services (TBABS) is a free service that provides books on tape and cassette machines to print-disabled Oregonians. Participants receive catalogs describing new books. Catalogs are provided in large print, on cassette, in Braille, and online.

Our front desk phone is staffed Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm and again from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Feel free to contact us at TBABS for assistance with your service, or just to request a book.

Book requests can also be made 24-hours per day by phone, email, regular mail, or in person.

The Talking Book and Braille Services library in Salem has over 60,000 titles on-hand to satisfy every reading taste. Thanks to our energetic staff and wonderful volunteers, TBABS is able to send out approximately 1,500 books every weekday.
