Previous NARCH Announcements2005On April 29, 2005, the I H S published an announcement for Native American Research Centers for Health (NARCH IV) Grants in the Federal Register. NARCH IV is a cooperative program using funds from the research agencies (such as the National Institutes of Health and the Agency for Health Research and Quality) to fund developmental and pilot research activities and research training at Tribes, Tribal Organizations, and Indian Health Boards. This was the fourth time that NARCH grant funds have been offered through the I H S. The closing date for NARCH IV grant applications was September 14, 2005. NARCH V is being planned, but is currently postponed subject to the availability of funds.

2004On 2/24/2004, I H S Published an Announcement for Native American Research Centers for Health (N A R C H) Grants in the Federal Register. N A R C H is a cooperative program using funds from the research agencies (such as National Institute of Health (N I H) and Agency for Health Research and Quality (AHRQ)) to fund developmental and pilot research activities and research training at Tribes, Tribal Organizations and Indian Health Boards. This was the third time that NARCH grant funds were been offered through the I H S and the first time it was announced in the Federal Register. This was also the first time that AHRQ participated in the NARCH announcement. The receipt date for NARCH grant applications was June 18, 2004.
