The Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere will appoint no more than 20 members, with "a balanced representation among preeminent scientists, educators, and experts."

Product 3.2 (Climate Projections Based on Emissions Scenarios for long-lived radiatively active trace gases and future climate impacts of short-lived radiatively active gases and aerosols).  Workshop, 30-31 October 2006.  Princeton, New Jersey.  This workshop is open to the interested public. Its purpose is to present the results of numerical model projections of future climate driven by specific scenarios listed in the Prospectus and to provide information for producing the report. Product 2.4 (Trends in emissions of ozone-depleting substances, ozone layer recovery, and implications for ultraviolet radiation exposure): Draft prospectus is issued along with invitation to comment.  Deadline for comments: 16 November 2006 [comment period now closed].  See Federal Register notice (dtd 17 October 2006).   • Responses to comments received during the Technical Peer review of the May 2006 draft of SAP 2.2.

Product 5.3 (Decision support experiments and evaluations using seasonal to interannual forecasts and observational data). Federal Register Notice (dtd 18 Sep 2006) announces Product Development Committee (CPDC) under the Federal Advisory Committee Act and the General Services Administration (GSA) rule of Federal Advisory Committee Management (link posted 18 September 2006).
