Reporting

Community water systems and non-transient, non-community water systems serving more than 10,000 persons were required to monitor for unregulated contaminants under the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Regulation (UCMR 1). With the exception of Aeromonas, data from large systems were approved by the public water system (PWS) via the Central Data Exchange (CDX), EPA's web-based reporting system, by going into the Safe Drinking Water Accession and Review System (SDWARS). Occurrence data now reside on EPA's National Contaminant Occurrence Database (NCOD). Laboratories analyzing samples for unregulated chemical contaminants under UCMR 1 reported analytical results via CDX.
