Open Letter to Licensed and/or Registered Importers of U.S. Munitions Import List Articles - 5/09/08
The Firearms and Explosives Imports Branch (FEIB) is responsible for fulfilling ATF statutory responsibilities relative to import provisions of the Gun Control Act of 1968, the National Firearms Act, and the Arms Export Control Act of 1976, by processing all applications to import firearms, ammunition and implements of war into the United States; processing all applications to register under the Arms Export Control Act as an importer of U.S. Munitions List articles, including the collection and deposit of registration fees; and issuing International Import Certificates to effect the release of U.S. Munitions Import List articles intended to be imported into the United States.
Information pamphlets and application information is available to anyone, either by writing, calling or faxing the branch. In our efforts to provide the best customer service possible, we would also appreciate any comments, suggestions or complaints.
