OSHA Call for Comments on Proposal to Allow SDOC to Certify Safety of Certain Electrical Products - On Oct. 20, 2008, the U.S. Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a Notice in the Federal Register that OSHA is considering a proposal to allow the use of a supplier's declaration of conformity to certify the safety of certain electrical products. The European Union has requested that OSHA permit the use of SDOCs as an alternative to the nationally recognized testing laboratories product approval process. OSHA is soliciting comments from interested parties.
