AFSC Outreach: Get to Know NOAA Symposium
Get to Know NOAA Symposium is an annual event, held the fall at NOAA’s Western Regional Center in Seattle, Washington. The event includes speakers, information booths, raffle items and refreshments. Speakers describe a wide range of NOAA projects, covering issues that range from receding glaciers to an overview of our National Marine Sanctuary program (http://sanctuaries.noaa.gov/).
Get to Know NOAA began in 2005 as an “in-reach” event, coordinated by the Northwest Regional Education and Outreach Group (NWREOG), to help NOAA employees find out what other NOAA offices in the area are doing.
