What's MyNCSL?
MyNCSL is your personal homepage on the NCSLnet Web site. You can customize its contents and layout according to your own specifications for:
- Customized news , consolidating any news on the NCSL site, with optional email delivery in MyNCSL News. Use the "E-News" button on any NCSL menu page to quickly add that page to your MyNCSL news topics.
- Page links to favorite NCSL pages or other web sites. Use the "Add to MyNCSL" link at the top of NCSL web pages to easily add them to your list of MyNCSL favorites.
- Contacts email list, for quick communication.
- Personal calendar , with easy insertion of events from the NCSL calendar.
- Personal search agents , to monitor and automatically report new information matching your exact specifications.
- Discussion forums , with either Web or News reader access.
Accessing MyNCSL
MyNCSL gives you a personalized portal to NCSL's online services, so you must be registered and login to identify yourself. When you login, MyNCSL appears as a link on the site navigation bar at the top of the page. MyNCSL previously was a service only for legislators and legislative staff, but it is now available to the general public.
Setting up MyNCSL
When you first open MyNCSL, you will see the component headings with "Edit" links used to configure your page. Click the edit link to select topic areas for news, add page links, and manage the other features of your MyNCSL page.
