Professional Activities and Experience

Radiative transfer; aerosol, cloud, radiation interaction; remote sensing applications; climate variability and climate change; data compression using physical models

Background

For the past decade, I have worked on various research projects from radiative transfer modeling, onboard data compression to climate diagnostics due to job positions and unfocused wide research interests. However, my main interests are always related to the Earth's climate and climate change.

I am currently engaged in analyzing satellite measurements of cloud and precipitation and using observations to validate and improve cloud resolving models. I am also working on using satellite rainfall measurements to study the hurricane activities.
