From Automotive Retailing Today...

Are you a problem solver with a strong sense of organization and detail and a love for cars? You can turn these interests into one great career!

Working in an automotive parts department provides a solid, fast-paced career with great compensation. U.S. vehicle owners spend nearly $150 billion a year to service, repair, and equip their cars. This means that there are millions of parts and accessories to be sold, ordered, shipped, inventoried, and delivered. It is the job of the parts department to make all this happen, so a well-run and efficient parts department is essential to the success of a dealership.

An interest in computers, math and science, and great communication skills are only the beginning. A sound technical background, coupled with the ability to work well with people, plus a keen sense of organization and attention to detail are essential qualities of good parts department employees.
