Anne Kelly, Executive Director
Anne Kelly is an entrepreneur with broad leadership, strategy, marketing, and financial experience in the federal and non-profit sector. She has a proven track record as an innovative turn around specialist who provides strategic leadership to transform organizations and achieve measurable results. Recognized as a dynamic leader, creative problem solver and successful negotiator with outstanding interpersonal skills, she has proven her ability to develop effective relationships and provide counsel to professional and non-profit groups as a trusted advisor.
Currently leading a team of highly experienced executive consultants, she serves as the champion of a government-wide initiative to restore the public’s trust in government through excellent customer service. Through her leadership, this effort has now been adopted by over 200 Federal agencies or services, including those that have 90% of the federal government’s customers. Anne works in collaboration with agency leaders to transform operations and systems in order to create a citizen centric government. Her experience includes customer service, facilitation skills, strategic planning, process improvement, value stream mapping, and team building. Recent clients include the Departments of Homeland Security, Army, Veterans Affairs, Education, Comptroller of the Currency, Corporation for National & Community Service, and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. She is a Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award Examiner ( 2003-2006).
Before joining FCG, Kelly held leadership positions at the Department of Commerce’s Patent and Trademark Office she directed a major frontline functional operation. As a result of her leadership, her organization slashed cycle time for a key public service by 80%, significantly improving customer satisfaction. For this process and quality improvement, her organization received the Department of Commerce Customer Service Excellence Award and the government-wide Presidential Quality Award. Other positions included as the Chief of Staff to the Assistant Commissioner for Patents, with responsibility for the management of human capital policy issues, contract management, procurement, and liaison with intellectual property organizations. Earlier she directed programs for senior executives at the Departments of Commerce and Energy.
A master’s degree graduate of the George Washington University and with an advanced executive education program degree from Case Western Reserve University, Ms. Kelly has received many awards and recognition including the Department of Commerce’s three highest awards, the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals and the Commissioner’s Equal Employment Opportunity Award.
