REQUESTING NEW ACQUISITIONS

How do I request that ASTER acquire new data?

If the desired ASTER observations have not yet been acquired, there is a 2-step procedure to submit acquisition requests. The first step is an approval step: you will submit a short proposal; it is reviewed, and if accepted, you will be given a login and password. Step 2 is to access and use the Data Acquisition Request (DAR) Tool to schedule your observations. DARs are applicable for up to 10 scenes. For more scenes, there is a different process (Science Team Acquisition Request -- STAR). To start the procedure, please select one of the links below:

I am a commercial user, how do I submit a Data Acquisition Request?

Requests from commercial users are being handled by Japan under their General Programming Request. Please go to the GPR link for full information and simple application procedures.

I'm already an authorized user, how do I submit a Data Acquisition Request?

Access and logon to the  Data Acquisition Request (DAR) Tool  to submit a scheduling request.
