How do I order already-existing Level 1 data?

Using Earth Observing System Data Gateway (EDG) search and order tools, you can search the entire EDG database for all archived ASTER Level 1A  scenes, to determine if data have been acquired over your area of interest. Any data of interest can then be ordered. A duplicate capability is maintained and operated by Japan at the Ground Data System (GDS). All ASTER Level 1 data can also be searched and ordered from this site.

For data over the U.S. and territories, Level 1B data are also available (at no cost) through the LPDAAC Data Pool tool. Note that higher level products are NOT available through this tool.

Another browse and order tool is the USGS Global Visualization Viewer (GLOVIS). This tool uses a map interface of mosaicked ASTER browse images to allow you to search the Level 1A data archive, then place an order through the EDG for L1B products. Note that higher level products are NOT available through this tool.
