Office of Diversity
The Office of Diversity (formerly the Equal Employment Opportunity Office) reports directly to
Southwestern’s Administrator. Its purpose is to plan, implement, and monitor Southwestern’s employment
practices under the various statutes and Executive Orders that prohibit discrimination.
This includes Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; the Rehabilitation Act of 1973,
the Equal Pay Act, and related statutes. The office has developed the agency’s Affirmative Action Plan for the
Disabled and the Affirmative Employment Program Plan to assure equal opportunity for minorities, women, and persons
with disabilities.
