Welcome to the Licensing Support Network (LSN) help section.
To assist you in finding your help area of interest, this help section has been
broken into topical areas (see links on the left side of this page).
The help pages have been written as concise as possible with available links
within each page (where applicable) to allow you to obtain more detailed information.
In addition, some of these web pages use examples (e.g., screen shots) as an aid to
understanding how a particular function works (e.g., advanced search).
If you are unable to find the help you are looking for or have a suggestion on
how we can improve this help section, please use the "comments and suggestions"
e-mail link at the bottom of this page.
The Licensing Support Network (LSN) World Wide Web portal has been developed to make
documentary material and other pertinent information available electronically to parties,
potential parties, and interested governmental participants to the proceeding for a license
to receive and possess high-level nuclear waste at a geologic repository.
The documents for search and retrieval on the LSN have been made available by
parties to the proceeding. Parties to the proceeding include, but are not
limited to, The Department of Energy (DOE),
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC),
and Nye County Nevada. When a result is returned from a query, the "Source"
is identified by a three letter code (e.g., NRC,
DOE, NYE).
Because the LSN provides access
to information from multiple sources, there are multiple formats for the documents and
some require special viewers. Please see the File Viewers (plug-ins) help page for more information.
