The
State
Treasurer’s
Office
administers

Millennium
Scholarship,
Nevada
Prepaid
Tuition
Program,
and the
state’s
529
College
Savings
Plans
programs;
safeguards
Nevada’s
unclaimed
property;
and
ensures
the
state’s
investments
and debt
obligations
are
managed
prudently
and in
the best
interest
of the
people
of
Nevada.
The
Nevada
College
Savings
Plans
program
recently
announced
the
expansion
of the
USAA
Distinguished
Valor
Matching
Grant,
which
provides
college
savings
funding
to
Nevada
military
families
who meet
the
requirements.
Nevada
offers
several
unique
college
savings
programs
that
cater to
various
income
levels.
The
Nevada
State
Treasurer’s
Office,
Unclaimed
Property
Division,
recently
announced
that it
returned
almost
$33
million
to
rightful
owners
in
Fiscal
Year
2012,
and
transferred
to the
state
General
Fund a
record
total of
$97.3
million.
It’s

property
that may
belong
to you.
Simply

the

page of
the
Treasurer’s

and then
type in
your
name or
the name
of your
business.

The
Nevada
Capital
Investment
Corporation
recently
announced
that it
has
reached
an
agreement
with
Hamilton
Lane,
a
leading
global
private
equity
asset
management
firm, to
manage
the
Silver
State
Opportunity
Fund,
which
seeks to
generate
greater
returns
that
will
support
Nevada
schools
and
secondarily
increase
economic
development
and
employment
in
Nevada. |
