Coastal New Hampshire employs 197,000 people annually, earning a total of almost $10.5 billion. This equates to almost $25 billion in gross domestic product.
Natural Hazards
One billion-dollar weather disaster affected New Hampshire in 2018—and a total of 5 affected the state between 2010 and 2018. The most expensive and devastating of these was Hurricane Sandy in October 2012, which, in total, caused $72.8 billion in damage to 13 states throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
