About This Program

From the extraordinary to the ordinary, Treasury Department Auctions have it all!

CWS Asset Management & Sales (CWSAMS) is the prime contractor for the U.S. Department of the Treasury's nationwide Seizure and Forfeiture of Real Property Contract responsible for the management and disposition of seized, forfeited and blocked real property. This contract is operational in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and all U.S. territories.

CWSAMS supports the seizure and forfeiture program for the Treasury Executive Office for Asset Forfeiture (TEOAF) by providing nationwide services for the receipt, possession, custody, management and disposition of seized blocked, or forfeited residential and commercial real estate property, operating businesses, and vacant land on behalf of TEOAF, the agencies participating in TFF, and OFAC.

Real properties are sold by either live auction (held at the property site) or by online auction. All auctions are free and open to the public. You many sign up for free e-mail notices of upcoming auctions.

All proceeds from the sale of real property are deposited into the Treasury Forfeiture Fund (TFF). The Treasury Executive Office for Asset Forffeiture (TEOAF) administers the Treasury Forfeiture Fund (TFF). The mission of the TFF is to affirmatively influence the consistent and strategic use of asset forfeiture by participating agencies to disrupt and dismantle criminal enterprises.

Participating law enforcement agencies under this contract include:

Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigations Division (IRS-CI), U.S. Department of the Treasury
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Department of Homeland Security
U.S. Secret Service (USSS), Department of Homeland Security

In addition to this contract, CWSAMS is an asset management and full service marketing company to various federal clients including the Department of the Treasury, U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CPB). CWSAMS has supported the Department of the Treasury and Department of Homeland Security since 1990.
