The Office of Dietary Supplements was established November 1995 in the NIH Office of the Director with the congressionally mandated purposes "to promote scientific study of the benefits of dietary supplements in maintaining health and preventing chronic disease and other health-related conditions" and "to explore more fully the potential role of dietary supplements...to improve health care." Now, 25 years later, ODS will take time over the next 10-12 months to mark and showcase its contributions to the science of dietary supplements and highlight the office’s accomplishments and achievements.
Mark your calendars! October 25 & 26, 2021, ODS will hold a symposium featuring talks by experts in the field of dietary supplement science. The ODS 25th Anniversary Calendar of Events, found below, will be updated as more information about the symposium and other events becomes available.
