PHMSA's International Program provides leadership in the development of international transportation safety standards. Drawing from over a century of experience, highly qualified technical expertise, and strong stakeholder participation, PHMSA promotes the highest level of safety and security while supporting product innovation and efficient transport. The International Program contributes to America's prosperity by enhancing the safe handling and transportation of critical hazardous materials, facilitating access to foreign markets, and providing American leadership and expertise in international forums.
