Former Cecil Bank President Sentenced To Two Years In Federal Prison For Bank Fraud
Former President and CEO of Cecil Bank, Mary Beyer Halsey, was sentenced in Maryland to two years in federal prison
and five years supervised release for a bank fraud conspiracy, receiving a bribe, and making false statements in
bank records. She orchestrated the straw purchase of a foreclosed property for her own benefit, causing a loss to the
bank of approximately $145,000.
