Track & Field Heads North To Iowa State
DENTON, Texas - Mean Green track field will take to the track once again at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa on Thursday morning. The meet will begin with the multi events Thursday morning, in which North Texas athletes Jordan Wehr and Chelsea He
The meet will begin with the multi events Thursday morning, in which North Texas athletes Jordan Wehr and Chelsea Hermes will compete.
Eighteen other athletes will make the trip to Iowa State, including Alysha Adams who sits 21st in the nation in the 60-meter hurdles, Missy Barnes, who leads the Sun Belt in the 55-meter dash and Steven White, who represented the United States of America at the Junior World Championships this summer.
The Iowa State Classic will mark the first time that the Mean Green has competed since Jan. 22 at the Sooner Invitational after an off weekend and a weather caused cancellation.
All single events will begin Friday morning and continue through Saturday afternoon.
