IRVING – The University of North Texas has placed 186 student-athletes on Conference USA’s annual academic honor roll, the league announced today. Student-athletes named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

The honorees were among 2,824 student-athletes to earn academic honors from the member schools. 43 Mean Green student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better also received the Commissioner’s Academic Medal.

North Texas placed the eighth-highest number of student-athletes among the 14-member schools on the honor roll.

Football led the Mean Green with 25 student-athletes on the honor roll, including five medalists. The swimming and diving program followed with 20 honorees and four medal winners. The women’s soccer team had 19 honor roll members and four medal winners.
