Men's Golf Releases Schedule For Upcoming Season

DENTON, Texas (7/28/09) – The North Texas 2009-10 men’s golf schedule has been unveiled and the Mean Green is traveling to some of the best tournaments in the county. Second-year head coach Brad Stracke takes his North Texas squad to eight new tournaments this season and puts his team up against some of the best in college golf.

“This is a significant upgrade over our previous schedules and gives us a chance to compete against some of the top teams nationally,” Stracke said. “We want to be the best and to do that you have to measure yourself against them and this schedule gives us a chance to do that and prepare for the Sun Belt Conference Championship at the same time.”

The Mean Green opens the fall season out with four tournaments beginning on September 11-12 at the William H. Tucker Classic. North Texas will play close to home on September 21-22 at the Waterchase Invitational in Arlington, Tex. hosted by UTA.

The spring season begins on February 15-16 at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational.

Two of the bigger highlights on the schedule come March 13-14 at the Seminole Intercollegiate and the Robert Kepler Invitational. Florida State will host the Seminole Intercollegiate and Ohio State is the host of the Robert Kepler Invitational on April 10-11.

Two days after competing at the Seminole Intercollegiate the Mean Green head to Orlando to play in the Rio Pinar Invitational.

The Sun Belt Conference Championship is April 26-28 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.



 

 

North Texas Mean Green
