This place brings back the nostalgia of Austin, TX in the early 90’s. A college town who’s potential for booming diversity hadn’t been fully tapped yet. A beautiful city and campus. Better enjoy it... now because, just like Austin, the world will come to realize what a wonderful place this is and flock to it! I am excited that my son will be a Freshman this coming fall! Go Eagles 🦅💚 See More

Every single person was so incredibly nice & helpful! It's a relief knowing that after one visit, my son felt like he was "home". Can't wait to be an Eagle mom!!

As a freshman music major back in 2005, what drew me to UNT was the campus and the city of Denton. UNT is a large campus with a small town feel, and that was just perfect for me. Majoring in music at ...UNT is the best decision I could have made for my personal growth as a musician, and for my career. UNT prepared me not only to teach band, but I also learned how to face and overcome challenges in the real world, and I met many influentia l teachers and friends along the way. All of these people are still helping shape my life personally and profession ally. Go Mean Green!! See More

This is going to be the weirdest review ever, but I own a bar that has music 7 nights a week in Dallas, we have so many UNT players play at our bar, we are blessed.
The players that come and perform ...are outstandin g in their performanc es and profession alism and we are so lucky to have such an institutio n so close by for our benefit. See More

Had an absolute blast with all the clarinet professors , Eugune Corporon and Dennis Fisher! However, some flaws in the set up of music education conducting and instrument pedagogy courses. If these cou...rse were combined even for a bit towards the end of the semester, students would be better prepared for their final "conductin g in front of the band" examinatio n before student teaching. I went to UNT for my undergrad (6 years!) and it was great and then I went somewhere else for my Master's and it wasn't as great but a solid "good" but now I'm returning to UNT for my DMA and that's great!

Great place for a challenge and to really broaden your horizons about what you can do as a musician but also about what you can learn from other musicians around the world.

There are so many community outreach programs that allow students in this college to really apply their skills.
I loved working the the New Horizon Community Band and Start Up the Band programs. Thank...s to the professors who provided these opportunit ies for me and continue to provide them for young educators. See More

It's an awesome campus along with great students who are caring and nice. They offer many camps at the school over the summer and they're so fun to go to. I can't wait to go to another camp next year!

Back in the day I was awarded an instrument al music scholarshi p to Southweste rn Oklahoma State University .I thoroughly enjoyed my studies there, and, I was President of Kappa Kappa Psi for the 1970-19...71 school year. I still have many friends on the faculty staff at SWOSU. That is how I heard about the UNT College of Music. I have heard many great things about your school of music. Keep up the good work. See More

Man, it's pretty hip.
That's possibly the most accurate summary I could ever give....
But for real though, maybe don't look for words to describe this phenomenal institutio n, but look up some of the performanc es. See More

Great tour. Lots going on. The student union building, just over a year old, is a wonderful place to hang out. Everyone is so nice and Denton is a terrific college town.
