This place brings back the nostalgia of Austin, TX in the early 90’s. A college town who’s potential for booming diversity hadn’t been fully tapped yet. A beautiful city and campus. Better enjoy it now because, just like Austin, the world will come to realize what a wonderful place this is and flock to it! I am excited that my son will be a Freshman this coming fall! Go Eagles 🦅💚

Every single person was so incredibly nice & helpful! It's a relief knowing that after one visit, my son felt like he was "home". Can't wait to be an Eagle mom!!

As a freshman music major back in 2005, what drew me to UNT was the campus and the city of Denton. UNT is a large campus with a small town feel, and that was just perfect for me. Majoring in music at UNT is the best decision I could have made for my personal growth as a musician, and for my career. UNT prepared me not only to teach band, but I also learned how to face and overcome challenges in the real world, and I met many influential teachers and friends along the way. All of these people are still helping shape my life personally and professionally. Go Mean Green!!

As a very proud Alumni from the class of 1980, I found North Texas to be a comprehensive University that affords all a wonderful educational journey. Thank You UNT School of Music for a lifetime of superlative memories!

This is going to be the weirdest review ever, but I own a bar that has music 7 nights a week in Dallas, we have so many UNT players play at our bar, we are blessed.
The players that come and perform are outstanding in their performances and professionalism and we are so lucky to have such an institution so close by for our benefit.

Your education is what you make of it. UNT provides you every tool and every opportunity to be successful so long as you are willing to work and persevere through each challenge. I am thankful for my years at UNT and would not trade a single moment.

Had an absolute blast with all the clarinet professors, Eugune Corporon and Dennis Fisher! However, some flaws in the set up of music education conducting and instrument pedagogy courses. If these course were combined even for a bit towards the end of the semester, students would be better prepared for their final "conducting in front of the band" examination before student teaching.

I love this place and will always love this place. UNT was the best decision I ever made with my life. It is a special school with a lot of opportunities.

I went to UNT for my undergrad (6 years!) and it was great and then I went somewhere else for my Master's and it wasn't as great but a solid "good" but now I'm returning to UNT for my DMA and that's great!

Great place for a challenge and to really broaden your horizons about what you can do as a musician but also about what you can learn from other musicians around the world.
