Description
Acquisition Business Management Concepts is a web based course for midlevel financial management professionals. The objective of this course is to ensure that all students possess an ample grasp of the concepts and procedures necessary for application during follow-on in class exercises. BCF 220 is designed for those students who are required to take BCF 225, a resident course. However, this course may also provide an opportunity for experienced acquisition personnel to improve their understanding of common financial topics such as, cost estimating; earned value management (EVM) analysis; Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE); congressional enactment; and budget preparation and execution.

Target Attendees
This course is for intermediate-level personnel in positions supporting DoD weapons systems and various aspects of business and financial management throughout the life cycle of a system.
Prerequisite(s)
Required:
  • EVM 101, Fundamentals of Earned Value Analysis
  • BCF 103, Fundamentals of Business financial Management
  • BCF 106, Fundamentals of Cost Analysis

    Recommended:
  • ACQ 202, Intermediate Systems Acquisition Management
