The Heritage Documentation Programs sponsor several annual competitions. The deadlines for the 2020 contests have passed. We invite you to begin planning your entries for 2021:

The Charles E. Peterson Prize is awarded to the best sets of measured drawings prepared by student teams of a HABS, HAER, or HALS site.

The Kenneth L. Anderson Prize, an adjunct to the Peterson Prize, is awarded to the best set of measured drawings prepared by a student team from a university in Texas.

The Leicester B. Holland Prize, open to both students and professionals, is awarded to the best single-sheet measured drawing of a HABS, HAER, or HALS site.

The HALS Challenge, open to everyone, awards prizes for documentation of our nation's cultural landscapes.
