Small Business Program

INL has a goal to increase the extent, variety and complexity of small business involvement, and to ensure that small businesses participate in meaningful prime contract performance.

Initiating Business with INL

The INL Small Business Program Office serves as the advocate and point of contact for businesses seeking contracting opportunities. Use the following steps to initiate business with INL:

  • Register your business in the INL Vendor Registration Portal  (vendor.inl.gov) Required to do business with INL.
  • Register your business in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). Required for small businesses.

  • Contact the Small Business Program Office at (208) 526-8564 to discuss potential opportunities.

Fraudulent Purchase Orders--Suppliers and Vendors beware: Please be aware that fraudulent purchase orders are being circulated. If you do not recognize the INL contact name on a purchase order you've received from us, or you've never done business with INL and have received a purchase order, please contact us at 1-208-526-4466. Email addresses from the INL end with "inl.gov" and not "inlgov.org", "inl-gov.org.", or "inl-gov.com". These are incorrect  Additionally, INL is not liable for unauthorized or fraudulent activities purporting to be from us.

SAM.gov REGISTRATION IS FREE: There is NO FEE to register, or maintain your registration, in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov). If you receive an email from a company claiming to represent SAM.gov, be cautious. If you get an e-mail from a company offering to help you register in SAM.gov asking you to contact them and pay them money, be cautious. These messages are not from the Federal Government. It is FREE TO REGISTER in SAM.gov for any entity.
