    Cost-to-Charge Ratio Files, for the 2014 NRD
    October 2016 AHRQ has released new information in HCUP Fast Stats —Effect of Health Insurance Expansion on Inpatient Stays. Graphic and tabular trends in the number of hospital stays for uninsured, Medicaid, Medicare, and privately insured patients before and after health insurance expansion are presented for 42 States, representing over 90 percent of the U.S. population. This Fast Stats update adds two new States—Massachusetts and Pennsylvania—and 2016 data for six States—Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Missouri, New Jersey, and New York. Additionally, this is the first HCUP data release in Fast Stats that includes ICD-10-CM clinical coding.

    July 2016 HCUP Fast Stats—AHRQ has updated HCUP Fast Stats to now include State-level emergency department (ED) visit trends by payer. These ED statistics supplement the existing State-level inpatient stay trends by payer that are part of the Effect of Health Insurance Expansion on Hospital Use topic (formerly called Effect of Medicaid Expansion on Hospital Use). Quarterly ED visit counts are presented from 2006-2014 for up to 27 States in a given year, including 26 States with 2014 data.
    April 2016 HCUP Fast Stats—AHRQ has released new information in HCUP Fast Stats—Effect of Medicaid Expansion on Hospital Use—to include new quarterly and annual inpatient data. Since the last update in December 2015, the tool now includes additional 2015 data (for a total of 15 States) and 2014 data (for a total of 39 States). The 15 States with 2015 data are: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
