Environmental Contaminants - Oklahoma

Personnel in this program provide information and expertise to other Service divisions; other Federal, State, and local agencies; and the public on the impacts of environmental contaminants on fish and wildlife resources. Surveys are conducted to determine levels and effects of contaminants, as well as remedies and mitigation measures, especially in habitats associated with important resources under Service responsibility. Environmental Contaminants biologists deal with a variety of contaminant-related impacts to fish and wildlife resources, including Superfund sites and oil spills.
To report environmental contaminants problems in Oklahoma, such as NPDES permit exceedances or Clean Water Act violations, contact the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality at 800-522-0206.
