A series of tribal consultation sessions were held during the public comment period in January and February of 2012. These sessions were opportunities for consultations between the federal government and tribal leaders and/or their designated representatives. The goal of these sessions was to provide more information about the development and goals of the Strategy, respond to questions, and receive tribal comments verbally or in writing.
