The Yosemite Conservation Heritage Center (formerly LeConte Memorial Lodge), a National Historic Landmark, was built by Sierra Club volunteers in 1903-04. For over 110 years, a curator and Sierra Club volunteers have provided information to park visitors about Yosemite, the Sierra Nevada, and the national parks. Read more.

Help Keep The Center Open for the Future!
The Board Executive Committee will appoint a small task force to supervise and manage the YCHC volunteer committee during 2017 (1) to evaluate how to make YCHC more effective in advancing the Club’s environmental programs, and (2) (a) to develop and implement a long-term strategy to fund YCHC operations with a dedicated fuding source or (b) plan to transition the YCHC to the most appropriate non-Sierra-Club management before it opens for the 2018 season.
