Halfway home in Pascagoula
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District project at the Round Island Coastal Preserve in Pascagoula is nearing the midway point.
District engin...eers from the Irvington Office, in conjunction with local contractors, have been working diligently on the project for more than a month dredging the Pascagoula Channel to authorized depth and placing beneficial use material on a berm adjacent to Round Island.
The projected is expected to be finished sometime after the New Year.
