Military tuition rates

Whether you’re serving active duty, are a member of the Reserve or National Guard, or are the spouse of a military member, you are eligible for a discount on tuition. Under the Military or Government Billing Plan, University of Phoenix directly bills the military or other government agency for a student’s tuition.

Eligibility:

  • The Department of Defense determines eligibility for direct bill payments.
  • Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship (Chapter 33) recipients are eligible.
  • Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) VetSuccess Program (Chapter 31) participants are eligible.
  • Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30) benefits are not included in the Military or Government Billing Plan.

Submission for Military or Government Billing Plan:

  • All students must complete the Student Financial Agreement.
  • For a government agency, a government tuition assistance voucher is required.
  • If you're using Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) benefits, you must submit the Certificate of Eligibility or Transfer of Eligibility.
  • For all other direct billing to the military, students must also submit one of the following:
    • Military Tuition Assistance form DD1550, DD1556 or SF182
    • Tuition Assistance Authorization form
    • Other authorized military tuition assistance voucher

All required documents must be received prior to the start of each course. You are responsible for payment of tuition and electronic course materials fees not covered by the military or other government agency prior to the start of each course. For additional information, contact an enrollment advisor.

Tuition and fees are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the University.
