Dr. Ellen Williams is the Director of the Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy (ARPA-E), responsible for oversight of the Agency. Prior to joining ARPA-E, Williams served as the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Energy and the Chief Scientist for BP.
David Henshall is the Deputy Director for Commercialization of the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), responsible for oversight of all Technology-to-Market issues related to ARPA-E programs.
Shane Kosinski is the Deputy Director for Operations for the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), responsible for oversight and operations of the mission of ARPA-E as well as all ARPA-E programs.
Dr. Eric A. Rohlfing is the Deputy Director for Technology of the Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy (ARPA-E), responsible for oversight of all technology issues relating to ARPA-E’s programs.
Dr. Paul Albertus currently serves as a Program Director at the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E). His focus at ARPA-E includes energy storage for transportation and stationary applications, energy conversion, and energy materials.
Kathryn Aleda is ARPA-E’s Deputy Chief Counsel. Before joining ARPA-E, Aleda served as an Attorney-Advisor to the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Golden, Colorado. Prior to her work at DOE, she served as Vice President and General Counsel for a business and data consulting firm which she co-founded. She also previously worked as an attorney at DC-area law firms, where she specialized in commercial and environmental law and litigation.
Dr. Chris Atkinson currently serves as a Program Director at the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E). His focus at ARPA-E includes improving the energy efficiency of advanced combustion devices, and energy conversion and storage systems.
Sue Babinec is a Senior Commercialization Advisor at the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E). She helps lead ARPA-E's Technology-to-Market effort, which focuses on preparing breakthrough energy technologies for the transition from lab to market.
Mary Barnes currently serves as a Contracting Officer at the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E). As a Contracting Officer, Barnes is responsible for awarding and administering financial assistance awards and contracts in accordance with federal laws and regulations. Prior to ARPA-E, Barnes served as a Contracting Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Headquarters Procurement Services.
William Bierbower is ARPA-E’s Chief Counsel. Before joining ARPA-E, Bierbower served as Chief Counsel at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Bierbower also served as Lead Counsel for NASA’s Directorates for Exploration Systems and Science Missions at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C., and as senior attorney at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
