Special Salary Rates

Congress has approved special higher salary rates through September 30, 2015 for grades GS-5 through GS-15 for certain scientific positions (Petroleum Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists) within the BSEE Gulf of Mexico Region.

• For Petroleum Engineers in grades GS-5 through GS-15: The applicable pay tables (see links below) will be compared and your pay will be set using the table that gives you the highest rate of pay for your grade, step, and duty location.
