The Outstanding Online Teacher & Course Award is a University-wide program to recognize excellence in the instructional design of Web-based courseware and the facilitation of the instructional experience using this courseware.

Online Teacher and Course Award recipients receive the distinction of a special Online Teacher and Course Award logo placed in their course for three years to signify their online course has been deemed outstanding or exemplary. This logo also appears next to the course name in UNTecampus.com to inform students it has been judged to meet nationally recognized standards for excellence in online course design. The award also provides recipients with a trophy and monetary stipend.
