Hazus HotZone Newsletter

This page provides information related to the Hazus HotZone Newsletter and how to download current and past versions. The HotZone Newsletters serve as a way to provide interesting Hazus-related news to the Hazus community. Topics range from regional Hazus activities/news to important software updates and each newsletter contains upcoming training information and national Hazus User Group call dates.

The newsletters are distributed on a bi-monthly basis and, in addition to being posted below, you can also receive them by signing up for the FEMA GovDelivery Hazus email updates and by joining the Hazus group page on LinkedIn.

September 2016

The September 2016 issue of FEMA's Hazus HotZone Newsletter contains information about the upcoming Hazus Conference 2016 and information about the Hazus program's recent participation at the Esri User Conference in San Diego, CA.

July 2016

The July 2016 issue of FEMA's Hazus HotZone Newsletter contains information about the opening of registration for the 9th Annual Hazus User Conference and the release of new Hazus virtual courses that will bring materials up to version 3.0 of the Hazus software.

May 2016

The May 2016 issue of FEMA's Hazus HotZone Newsletter contains information about the release of Hazus-MH 3.1, an announcement for the selection of Steve Kocsis as winner of a Hazus Excellence Award, details regarding the upcoming Hazus Conference 2016, and a news story on an earthquake study completed in Oklahoma using Hazus.

March 2016

The March 2016 issue of FEMA's Hazus HotZone Newsletter contains information about upcoming Hazus Modernization changes, Hazus results for interactive web maps, and research regarding the impact of a potential massive earthquake in the Seattle region.

January 2016

The January 2016 issue of FEMA's Hazus HotZone Newsletter contains information about the 8th Annual Hazus User Conference that took place from December 9-11, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia, the release of Hazus-MH 3.0, and a calendar of upcoming trainings at the Emergency Management Institute.
