Goodfellow Air Force Base

The 17th Medical Group consists of two squadrons servicing a population of nearly 12,000 students, permanent party personnel, retirees and dependents.

With a staff of more than 200 service members, civilians and contractors, the clinic provides a robust array of outpatient services from student health, family care, pediatrics, women's health and flight medicine. They also operate a dental clinic and offer specialty services such as physical therapy, optometry, immunizations and radiology.

17th Medical Group does not have an emergency room
Emergency conditions are those that require immediate medical treatment (potential loss of life, limb, or sight). For emergency care, go to the nearest hospital or call 911. Please contact your primary care manager within 24 hours after your visit for coordination of follow up care if necessary. Students must report to Sick Call the next day during sick call hours

Urgent Care conditions are those that require medical care needed within 24 hours. For urgent care appointments, contact the appointment line at 325-654-3149, 7 a.m.to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, or the nurse advice line at 1-800-874-2273, 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. NOTE: Urgent Care just got easier! TRICARE has authorized two urgent care visits per fiscal year without a referral. The beneficiary is responsible to track these or they will be billed. Active Duty still require a referral for all urgent care visits.

 

Urgent Care in the Local Area:

The 17th Medical Group is closed for all Federal holidays and Air Education and Training Command family down days. The 17th Medical Group will be closed every third Thursday of the month for training.
