The mission of the Range Operations Section is to ensure safe day to day operations in the Quantico Ranges and Training Areas (RTA) within the Guadalcanal Training Complex by providing safety, control, access, and administrative functions for live fire and non-live fire aviation, ground, and combined armed training events.
The Range Operations section promulgates and enforces range safety policy, manages and monitors the range safety communications net, coordinates emergency responses, and provides real time integration of all ground and air activities within the RTA.
